19. What do you believe prevents you from taking action? Do you have a fear about starting new projects or investing in yourself? If so, investigate why and list three action steps you can take to overcome this obstacle.

20. The middle aged man shares the tale of how his hesitation to purchase a flock of sheep cost him an excellent investment. He learned this lesson: “The wisdom of making a payment immediately when we are convinced our bargain is wise.” Have you ever similarly lost an opportunity because you did not make an immediate decision? If so, what was the opportunity and what did you ultimately lose?

21. The wise man went on to state, “My first judgment is best. Yet always have I found it difficult to compel myself to proceed … Therefore, as a protection against my own weaknesses, I do make a prompt deposit thereon.” Seeing the error of his past decisions, this man now acts promptly when opportunity knocks. What might you change in your life in response to learning from his mistakes?

22. Write a list of action steps you can take to conquer procrastination. For example, have a savings account in which you can immediately access funds should opportunities arise.

23. Arkad states, “Good luck can be enticed by accepting opportunity.” Do you find this statement to be true? List evidence of it in your life, or in the lives of other successful individuals.

24. Why you do you believe Arkad states, “Those eager to grasp opportunities for their betterment, do attract the interest of the good goddess. She is ever anxious to aid those who please her. Men of action please her best.” Why do you believe that men or women of action attract good luck?

25. Scan your current life. Are there any opportunities that have recently arisen that you could “act” upon? If so, list them and then take the necessary steps to move forward on them.
